Organic Lime Tree/Linden Honey - 125g

This fagrant honey is made from the nectar of wild "Tilia cordata" flowers (small lime tree flowers). Soothing, helps to reduce stress during the day. Recommended in the evening in warm herbal tea for a good night's sleep and for young children for its soothing properties.

A fragrant Grand Cru (finest quality) organic honey, with an intense flowery, with a hint of minty flavour, made from the nectar of wild Tilia cordata flowers (linden tree). It has a creamy and slightly granular texture; the amber colour gradually changes to pale yellow as it crystallises. We harvest this honey in july at an altitude of 1000 m. The geographical origin mentioned on the jars and descriptions of honey may vary depending on the season, transhumance periods, flowering and weather conditions.

Health Benefits of Honey - Soothing and de-stressing

Linden (or lime tree) honey is recommended in the evening in a herbal tea for sound sleep and the prevention of insomnia. Recommended for young children for its soothing properties. Also effective for difficult or sluggish digestion. Energised honey: long macerations, manual blending that subtly reinforce its original virtues.

Taster's comments

This very fragrant honey has a light yet intense floral flavour, with a hint of mint. Its texture is creamy and slightly grainy. The amber color gradually changes to pale yellow as it crystallises.

Recognising natural honey

Honey is still liquid at the time of harvest. It crystallises naturally after a certain time, if it is not heated. White blotches may appear on the surface (especially in the winter): this is a sign that your honey is completely pure and natural. Accept them as a guarantee of authenticity!
